Hinbit Development is involved in Kimamel Project with Hamakor (An Israeli Society for Free Software and Open-Source Code), The project aim is to establish and deploy Linux based classrooms using open source and free software in schools and other needy institutions.
we use a regular PC based machine as the server and old machines (pentium 486 and up) with no harddrive as thin client workstations.
- All hardware is donated by the community, school parents and friends, High-tech companies and such
- The Software is all open source based, The server is running Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP )
- All work is done by volunteers.
